REDISCOVERY OF LOST TREASURES OF KNOWLEDGE

As early as antiquity and the Middle Ages, a deep understanding evolved of the significance of geometrical and mathematical proportions. We have reason to believe the most or perhaps all pre-industrial civilizations (societies with cities and knowledge of writing), both and east and west (Greece, Rome, Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus, Ganges, Yellow River, Mekong, Java, Mayan, Aztec, etc.) set a very high value (often religious or mystical) on proportion and measure.

Despite of the fact that many of these insights and skills (especially peaking during the Renaissance and Baroque) got lost with the onset of industrialization, much more has survived the modern barrage than we thought. Right upon until today people all over the world have been writing on and researching this topic in many languages. In the face of the worsening global ecological crisis, it is our duty to retrieve these lost treasures, find applications for and develop them further. Tasks which are urgent and essential for human welfare and wellbeing.

Here it is finally, a serious beginning, a database including up to now 54,000 records. I hope that with a little help from you, my friends, this number can grow to 100,000. I know the sources are out there. Let's go for it!
